This hardcover graphic novel, Son of the Batman, is the book she’s talking about remembering in the message. Jeff bought it for 15 bucks (after fighting with Gerry) back in ’87. Today, it goes for about 25 bucks on eBay.
This is what she heard about on the radio: the original artwork to the cover of The Dark Knight Returns #2, by Frank Miller, the 4-issue limited series that redefined comics in 1986.
Jeff should have let her look at it.
