Came up on these vintage chocolate molds at a giant flea market. I thought they were bullshit, but then I started looking at some of the weirder ones. It turns out there has been a Chocolate Version of almost everything over the last 100 years.
The people that ran the booth sell the molds here: http://www.dadsfollies.com/. They were fantastic. The’ve rescued tons of these from being destroyed.
An old 35mm film camera:
A chocolate landline telephone. The receiver was separate so that the two pieces were wrapped in their own foil. You could play telephone so long as you held out from eating the dial tone.
A chocolate log:
A Chocolate Idea:
This is a gif of the story of Hansel and Gretel. On the front, the witch is luring the kids into her gingerbread house. On the back, the kids are pushing her into the oven.
Chocolate Heart, open and closed:
Chocolate TV, circa Howdy Doody Times.
Chocolate Guns:
Chocolate Bootleg Mickey:
Chocolate Tigers and Lions, for kids who thought Bunnies were punks:
Chocolate Lobster:
Chocolate Asparagus:
From left, a Chocolate Hat, a Chocolate Boy Scout Hat, and a Chocolate Steamship:
Chocolate Santa-In-A-Racecar:
Big Chocolate Santa:
Chocolate Bishop:
Chocolate Bunnies:
More Chocolate Bunnies:
Even More Chocolate Bunnies:
And a 4.5 Foot Chocolate Bunny, next to a life-size Chocolate Shoe, and Chocolate Dog, and some Chocolate Poultry:
This is amazing! My favorite is the asparagus because why would anything think of that! Thanks for sharing the site link too!
