Quaneisha and her friends go to school near the old Carvel in Ridgewood, Queens. Even though it’s a little bit of a ride to get there, and they have a “B” food-cleanliness grade in their window, I don’t care – it’s an old spot and there are usually crazy people hanging out in there. Plus, Carvel Cartwheels are the Cadillac of ice cream sandwiches. Some go Chipwich, but a Cartwheel is just so classy.
Props to Quaneisha’s denim vest and that stance. |
Even though Carvel ice cream is the same all across the country, I’m pretty sure this is the only one in New York that still has a metal cone on top. |
Everyone knows Baskin Robbins is 31 Flavors, but this Carvel’s got 36. |
