One thought on “Fire Hydrants Gang

  1. Many moons ago when I drove a straight truck throughout the city, I accidently backed up and knocked out a hydrant, a johnny pump, or as we used to call them, “la pompa.”
I got out surveyed the carnage and ran back to the lorry and cheesed it.
It just lay there, broken shards of rusty-cast iron of what once was a mighty fire fighting tool.

I was rather dissapointed that, unlike the movies, the water doesn’t gush out in a huge, refreshing, fountain like burst. Theres actually a pipe and valve in there that needs to be opened before any water flows. Just dry flakes of paint and surface rust….
