This is the first sketch that Jeff drew of “Pizza-Head” who later became our resident authority on all things cheesy, Professor Pizzaroni. As you can see, he was originally conceived as a cross between a News “Scoop” Reporter and a 50’s Greaser. I’m glad we settled on the Professor being more of a weird and confused nerd… though I do like the Greaser shtick, it can wear pretty thin fast.
A Co-worker came into my office to talk work related matters and he saw the computer screen, gave me a perplexed look, and asked me whats up with that Pizza slice with legs.
I didn’t know how to explain it..
-He’s a character on the shlog.
-It’s like a show and a blog…
-The Pizza is one of the newer ones…
-But he’s a professor though…
-He doesn’t wear blue jeans anymore, this was a prototype…
-A professor of cheesy stuff and what not…
-Kinda like a greaser from the 50s..
